14th Fundraiser Tournament - October 5, 2020

The 2020 golf season has taught us to adapt to changes and we must admit that the developments of the last few days concerning the ongoing pandemic remind us that the situation is far from being restored and that caution is required to ensure the health and safety of all. The measures announced by the government and the identified red zones have led us to make a difficult decision.
As a result, Golf Québec and Golf Le Mirage have mutually agreed to cancel the Golf Québec Fundraiser Tournament.
Our tradition will continue on October 5, 2020, as Golf Le Mirage
will be hosting the 14th edition of the Golf Québec Fundraiser Tournament.
Special format and measures for this 2020 edition in order to comply with government guidelines.
The year 2020 is certainly very emotional for all of us. Whether on a personal, professional or social level, it will mark our lives for many years to come. This pandemic affecting us has multiple effects in our society.

Last spring, golf was put on hold. Many industries were hit hard and the golf industry is no exception. Your golfing habits have been turned upside down, as have those of golf clubs and associations. Despite the madness of the pandemic, golf clubs were ready to welcome you when the time came to reopen their courses. Since the resumption of golf last May, players have returned in large numbers. We see many new golfers on the courses, children and families. This is good for the future of golf.

Golf Québec played an essential role in this recovery and has relentlessly pursued its golf development initiatives despite the situation and financial consequences. However, your support is crucial for these new golfers to continue playing and for Golf Québec to pursue its initiatives in the months and years to come. More than ever, your federation needs the support of its community. This is why Golf Québec is proposing the 14th edition of its Benefit Tournament, which will be held in full respect of health, sanitary and gathering guidelines.

My Golf, My Community and I Campaign

The Benefit Tournament is one component of the "My Golf, My Community and I" fundraising campaign. No theme could be more closely linked to the motivations that drive us all, which is to ensure the succession of our sport by supporting the next generation of players while getting involved in our golf community and club. As part of this campaign, Golf Québec is promoting its programs to encourage children and families to discover and learn to play golf: Golf in Schools, Future Links, the First Drive Tour, as well as the Junior Golf Development Centres and the Golf-études program. The funds raised annually support the continuation of these initiatives.

Every year, this great golf celebration brings together all the industry stakeholders as well as many business people. Thanks to loyal participants and donors, close to $900,000 has been raised over the 13 previous editions of the event.

We invite you to participate in this 14th edition. Your commitment to this cause can be expressed in different ways as you will see on the right-hand side.

For each financial contribution of $25 or more, Sports-Québec will issue a tax receipt and remit the amount to the Fédération de golf du Québec according to the eligible portion of the donation. Any donation of $25 or more will also allow Golf Québec to benefit from the matching fund as provided for in the Placements Sports program financially supported by the Government of Québec. By making a donation, you agree that your contribution will be used for the operation of the Quebec Golf Federation.

Looking forward to meeting you there!

  • Organize a Future Links Field Trip to a golf club allowing many school children to have a positive experience on the course.
  • Organize a visit by a golf professional to a school, an event or a municipality.
