Golf Québec Launches the Junior Skills Tour!

Montréal, May 9, 2025 – Golf Québec is proud to announce, in collaboration with Le Club Optimiste Golf Junior Région St-Laurent, the official launch of the Junior Skills Tour, a new program for young golfers aged 14 and under. Inspired by Golf Canada's Junior Skills Challenge, this tour highlights the technical skills of young golfers by focusing on three fundamental aspects of the game: driving, chipping, and putting.
The Junior Skills Tour will feature five qualifying events across the province, followed by a provincial final to be held in conjunction with the Victoriaville – Fenergic Canada Cup on August 11, 2025, at Club de golf Victoriaville.
A Tour Accessible to All Young Golf Enthusiasts
Open to all, Golf Québec members and non-members, the Junior Skills Tour offers an accessible and challenging format. At each event, young boys and girls will have the chance to demonstrate their accuracy, consistency, and power through a series of technical stations. Registration is limited to 96 participants per qualification, on a first-come, first-served basis.
“This initiative lines up perfectly with our mission of long-term development of young golfers. In addition to encouraging learning in a structured environment, it promotes the enjoyment of the game and the challenge of surpassing oneself,” explained Sandrine Bigras, Director of Competitions at Golf Québec.

Golf Québec is pleased to collaborate with Le Club Optimiste Golf Junior Région St-Laurent, an organization renowned for its involvement with the youth. This partnership is designed to broaden the tour's reach and enrich the experience of young athletes across Québec.
