François Gagnon Re-elected President of Golf Québec

Montréal, February 19, 2025 – The Québec Golf Federation (Golf Québec) is proud to announce that at its 105th Annual General Meeting held on Wednesday, February 19, François Gagnon was re-elected President for 2025.
A graduate of finance and law, Mr. Gagnon spent his entire career in finance, first in the banking industry, then with the Québec Ministry of Finance as Assistant Deputy Minister, and finally in the corporate sector of Desjardins Group, where he served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and President of Desjardins Trust before retiring.
A member of Parcours du Cerf, he joined the Golf Québec Board of Directors between 2013 and 2015, where he served as Secretary-Treasurer and sat on the Rules Committee. He then took a short break before rejoining the Board in 2020, acting as vice-president in 2022 and 2023.
As part of his volunteer involvement, in addition to sitting on the Golf Québec Board of Directors, Mr. Gagnon has been a national-level referee for some fifteen years. He was a member of Golf Canada's Board of Governors and Rules Committee from 2014 to 2016. He was also a member of the Country Club de Montréal for twenty years, where he sat on various committees and was president in 2012 and 2013.
"It is with great pleasure that I will continue, for a second year, to lead the Board of Directors of Golf Québec, a dynamic organization that can count on competent employees and volunteers dedicated to the promotion and development of golf in the province. I would like to thank my colleagues on the Board of Directors for their vote of confidence and assure them that I will do my best to lead the work of the Board, in keeping with our mission and values, and for the benefit of our members,” emphasized François Gagnon.

- Ève Gaudet (Secretary), designated by the Association des clubs de golf du Québec (ACGQ), Montcalm
- Michel Dell'Aniello (Treasurer), member in good standing of a member club, Vallée du Richelieu
- Nadia Di Menna, designated by the Canadian Golf Club Owners Association - Québec Section, Le Versant
- Jean-Guy Gourdeau, member in good standing of a member club, Royal Montreal
- Serge Lafontaine, designated by the Regional Association Council (RAC), Royal Ottawa
- Éric Lallier, member in good standing, Country Club of Montréal
- Marie-Pier Poulin-Breton, member in good standing of a member club, La Tempête
- Sylvain Gaudet, designated by the PGA of Canada, Québec Zone
