Job Offer | Competition Coordinator

The Québec Golf Federation (Golf Québec) is the governing body for golf and its vision is to be the leader and reference for the practice of golf in Québec. Its mission is to increase participation, develop excellence, promote the game, and govern the practice of golf.
It represents more than 46,600 members in nearly 255 clubs in Québec and Eastern Ontario. Golf Québec offers programs such as First Tee - Premier départ Québec, rules of golf, course ratings, and the World Handicap System. Golf Québec also oversees various regional and provincial amateur competitions.
Golf Québec is looking for a dynamic individual to join its Competition Department. The successful candidate for this full-time position will work as a team with the Competition Director, Competition Coordinators, as well as with the seasonal event staff. This person will have a good knowledge of the golf industry and ideally have experience in tournament or event management.
Tasks description 
  • Coordinate event preparation, transportation and maintenance of supplies and equipment with the competition team.
  • Work closely with the clubs’ General Managers and Head Professionals when an event is being held.
  • Manage provincial competitions with the Golf Genius platform, including registration, tee times, results, and orders of merit.
  • Serve the competition clientele, including players, parents, coaches, and volunteers.
  • Contribute to the planning and presentation of the Québec Open.
  • Manage college and university tournaments.
  • Plan the competition calendar and five-year plan with the competition team.

  • Bilingualism, both spoken and written (French and English).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • General knowledge of the golf industry is an asset.
  • Experience in customer service.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 and video conferencing software.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Ability to effectively manage priorities and time.
  • Ability to travel throughout the service area (Québec and Ontario).
  • Valid driver's license in Québec.

Duration and dates
This is a permanent, full-time position with flexible hours depending on the season.

Salary and conditions
  • Between $50,000 and $55,000.
