Golf Québec Unveils the 2026 Québec Team

The Québec Team 2026

Montréal, February 13, 2026 - Golf Québec is proud to announce the composition of the Québec team for the 2026 season. Thirteen athletes between the ages of 15 and 18, identified in the federated rankings, have been selected and will benefit from the support of experienced coaches throughout the upcoming season.

The golfers were selected on the basis of their performances last season, but also because of their commitment and determination to pursue their sporting development.

The Québec team program offers development opportunities for athletes committed to reaching their full potential. It fosters the multidimensional development of athletes: physical, psychological, technical, strategic, and social. The Québec team creates a healthy and supportive environment for athletes to practise their sport and is a springboard to the national teams.

Louis Bourgeois and Gabriel Massé-Barbeau will be guiding the team members this year. The two coaches will be working closely with each athlete's personal coaches to provide the best possible support throughout the season.

Recognizing the importance of mental preparation in the development of athletes, Golf Québec is welcoming Joey Toupin, a certified mental performance consultant, to the Québec team. He will be present at team activities and in competitions to offer direct support to athletes.

"Every year, we strive to improve the services offered in the Québec team program in order to provide athletes with an ever more complete and high-performance environment. The addition of a mental performance consultant and our collaboration with the INS bear witness to this desire to go further. The whole team is looking forward to the new season and helping our athletes reach their full potential," says Patrice Clément, Golf Québec's Technical Director.

Throughout the season, the athletes on the Québec team will benefit from comprehensive support tailored to their needs to help them achieve their short- and medium-term goals.

The first team camp will be held on February 15 at District Golf in Trois-Rivières. Other workshops will follow over the winter to properly equip the athletes before the beginning of the outdoor season.
