Cap-Rouge, August 14, 2025 – Local golfer Danny Turbide enjoyed three dream days on his home course at Club de golf Cap-Rouge to claim the title at the 89th edition of the Men's Provincial Senior Championship, presented in collaboration with belairdirect from Monday to Wednesday.

 

Turbide led the competition from start to finish to win his first senior provincial title with a cumulative score of -3 (213). He had posted the best round of the day on Tuesday and Wednesday with scores of 69 (-3), before finishing the event with a final round of 75 (+3).

 

Behind him, Michel Dupuis (L’Épiphanie) took second place at -2 (214), thanks mainly to the best round of the tournament with a score of 67 (-5) on Wednesday. Patrick Chagnon (St-Hyacinthe) rounded out the top three with a cumulative score of -1 (215).

 

The competition brought together 120 golfers on the fairways of the Club de golf Cap-Rouge, with a cut at 60 players and ties after the second round. Turbide, Dupuis and Ed Ricard (Royal Montréal) will represent Golf Québec at the Canadian Senior / Super Senior Men's Championship, to be held September 9-12, 2025, at the KenWo Golf Club in New Minas, Nova Scotia.

 

The Men's Provincial Senior Championship also served as a qualifier for the remaining 16 spots available for the national event.

 

Golf Québec is now turning its attention to preparing and presenting the Junior Match Play Championship, scheduled to take place at the Club de golf Farnham from August 18 to 20.

 

In 2025, Golf Québec is proud to count on the collaboration of belairdirect for the presentation of the Men's and Women's Provincial Tours. In addition, the Golf Québec volunteers, referees, and employees will be dressed by adidas throughout the golf season.
