These two additions to the 2023 program will raise funds for three foundations
Montréal, March 28, 2023 - The Québec Open is proud to announce the addition of the "Celebrity Pro-Am: Foundation Challenge" and the "Golf Celebration Day" to its 2023 program to raise funds for three important charities in Québec. The events, both of which will be held on July 10, 2023, will bring together golf fans, PGA TOUR Canada players and Québec professionals as well as numerous celebrities for an unforgettable experience of golf and fun.
The "Celebrity Pro-Am: Foundation Challenge" is a unique opportunity for golf fans to play alongside PGA TOUR Canada and Québec professionals, some of whom will receive exemptions to the tournament, as well as rub shoulders with celebrities from the sports, music, and television industries. Participants will have the opportunity to compete against some of the best golfers in the world while helping to raise funds for the three beneficiary foundations: The Montreal Canadiens Children's Foundation, The First Tee - Premier départ Québec Foundation and Le BUT Foundation of the Sport Rousseau - Groupe Gendron stores.
The "Celebrity Pro-Am: The Foundation Challenge" will be held simultaneously on three courses in the city of Bromont: Golf Château-Bromont, host of the Québec Open, Parcours du Vieux-Village, and Royal Bromont. A friendly competition will be held between the beneficiary foundations. The groups will be separated in order to represent each one of the charitable organizations: the winning foundation will take home 50% of the prize pool, while the rest will be divided between the other two organizations.
The "Golf Celebration Day" is a cocktail party to be held on the evening of July 10, following the Celebrity Pro-Am. Pro-Am participants and guests will be invited to the Centre National de Cyclisme de Bromont to enjoy themselves in a relaxed atmosphere while supporting the beneficiary foundations. Food and drinks will be provided.
Funds raised during the events will be distributed among the three foundations, all of which are dedicated to supporting children and youth by providing them with opportunities for their future. Additional fundraising initiatives will be undertaken during the week of the Québec Open and at the tournament. Packages for the Pro-Am as well as tickets for the "Golf Celebration Day" are available now.
"We are thrilled to be able to bring together golf fans, professional players, and celebrities for a unique golf and charity experience," said Mathieu Billette, Vice-President of VOLTA and Director of the Québec Open. "The Celebrity Pro-Am: The Foundation Challenge” and the “Golf Celebration Day” offer an incredible opportunity to support important charities while having fun on the beautiful Bromont courses. We are confident that this event will be a great success and that we can help make a difference for children and youth in our community."

About the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation
Since its inception in August 2000, the Montreal Canadiens Children's Foundation has donated over $30 million to more than 800 organizations working for the well-being of the most vulnerable children across Québec. The Foundation's goal is to encourage and support the adoption and maintenance of healthy lifestyles among young people in need.
The Foundation carries out its mandate in two ways: first, by implementing a unique flagship project - the BLEU BLANC BOUGE program - which consists of building refrigerated, multi-sport community skating rinks; and second, by providing financial support to organizations whose projects and programs enable children to adopt healthy lifestyle habits by being more active.
By uniting members of the Montreal Canadiens family and teaming up with the community, the Foundation encourages physical activity and the adoption of healthy lifestyle habits among underprivileged youth aged 4 to 17.
About the First Tee - Premier départ Canada Foundation
First Tee - Premier départ Canada is a not-for-profit youth development program that has been a part of Golf Canada since 2020. In partnership with First Tee, a PGA TOUR-supported organization in the United States, Golf Canada launched First Tee - Premier départ Canada to provide educational programs that build character and life-enhancing values through golf. First Tee - Premier départ Canada continues to expand its programming and engage youth on the golf course and in schools and community centers in deserving areas of the country.
