Québec Games Coaches Wanted
Golf Québec is looking for coaches for the Québec Games, specifically for the following regions:
- ABITIBI-TÉMISCAMINGUE
- CÔTE-NORD
- LAC-SAINT-LOUIS
- RIVE-SUD
- SAGUENAY-LAC-SAINT-JEAN
- SUD-OUEST
It is not necessary to come from the region to accompany a team, but each region must have a coach to enable athletes to participate in the Québec Games.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The coach is responsible for preparing and accompanying his or her team to the Québec Games.
Specifically, he or she accompanies the athletes of his or her region to prepare them to participate in the 2025 Québec Games.
The coach is expected to collaborate with his or her URLS, Golf Québec, and regional golf association in accordance with the operating standards of the Québec Games.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify eligible athletes for the Québec Games in your region.
- Attend the event to support the organization of the regional final of the Québec Games in his/her region.
- Act as a contact person and be recognized as the golf first responder for his or her region.
- Coach athletes at the provincial final of the 2025 Québec Games.
- Carry out all administrative tasks required under the protocol of understanding and any other requirements from the various partners.
- MANDATORY: Travel with the athletes and be accommodated with them at the delegation's lodging site.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
The coach must detain one of the following levels of certification:
- Have one of the following certifications:
- Coach of New Competitors - PGA of Canada (trained)
- Coach of Developing Competitors - PGA of Canada (trained)
- Instructor - Beginner Golfers - PGA of Canada (trained)
- Instructor - Intermediate Golfers - PGA of Canada (trained)
- Competition-Introduction – multi-sport
- Competition-Development - minimum of 6 modules – multi-sport
- Bachelor's degree in physical education or sports intervention
- Community Golf Coach
- Level 2 - First Tee – Premier départ Coach
- Agree to undergo a criminal background check.
COMPENSATION
Subcontracting remuneration in accordance with Golf Québec's protocol of understanding for the 2025 Québec Games.
