17th Golf Québec Fundraiser Tournament

The Golf Québec Fundraiser Tournament Honours Jocelyne Bourassa

Montréal, August 29, 2024 – Join us on October 8th as the Québec Golf Federation (Golf Québec) presents the 17th edition of its Fundraiser Tournament at the prestigious Ki-8-Eb Golf Club in the Mauricie region, under the co-presidency of Debbie Savoy Morel and Luc Boisvert.

We'll also be celebrating the 50th anniversary of Shawinigan-Sud golfer Jocelyne Bourassa's victory in the inaugural La Canadienne Championship - now the CPKC Women's Open - in 1973, in only her second season on the Women's PGA Tour. To mark this achievement, a permanent commemorative plaque will be unveiled between the course's 1st and 10th tees.

Reserve your agenda now for October 8, 2024, and keep an eye out for our communications! Information will be released in the coming weeks for those wishing to register for the tournament as a foursome or individually.

At the same time, from October 2 to 8, an interactive auction will be powered by Les Encans Signature Pro. Although not everyone will be able to attend the Fundraiser Tournament, golf enthusiasts will have the chance to bid on a wide range of exciting prizes and contribute to the annual fundraising campaign.

Proceeds will not only support the development of the sport, but also raise funds for the development of junior women's golf, a cause close to Jocelyne Bourassa's heart. A portion will also be donated to Golf Mauricie to support their local development initiatives.

Registration

Foursomes cost $1,000 to participate in the Fundraiser Tournament, or $250 per golfer. The day includes a round of golf in a golf cart, plaque unveiling, and meals.

Register at www.golfquebec.org/tournoibenefice.

Participants will receive a tax-deductible donation receipt through SportsQuébec for the deductible portion of $150 per person as indicated on the registration page.

About the Fundraiser Tournament

The Fundraiser Tournament is part of the "My Golf, My Community, and I" campaign, which aims to introduce children and families to the game of golf.

Originally held in the Greater Montréal area, the event adopted a new formula in 2023, with the aim of travelling to a new region each year to meet the golfing community and golf clubs. This approach supports the development initiatives proposed by the host regional golf associations, as well as a common cause for Golf Québec and its hosts of the moment.
