About Golf Québec – Initiate passions, build dreams
Golf Québec is the governing body of golf. It provides leadership and promotes the growth and development of amateur golf throughout the province while preserving the integrity and traditions of the game. It represents approximately 45,000 members in close to 235 golf clubs in Québec and Eastern Ontario. Golf Québec provides core services such as the Golf in Schools Program at the elementary and secondary levels; the Golfmobile; Future Links (sponsored by Acura); the First Drive national youth golf program; She Swings, She Scores; Junior Golf Development Centres (JGDC); the rules of golf; handicap and course rating services; Golf Fore the Cure; and the Québec Golf Hall of Fame. The FAEQ (faeq.com) is recognized for its personalized approach, rigorous management style and influence in sport and education circles. In 2019, it will award $1,500,000 in bursaries to 500 student athletes. It will encourage the conciliation of school and high-performance sports through its academic guidance services and its support services. The FAEQ works with partners and former scholarship recipients to foster the academic, athletic, and professional success of its bursary recipients.
