The Golf Québec team joins its Board of Directors and volunteers to wish you the very best for the Holiday Season!

The Golf Summit: Sharing Ideas to Shape the Future of Golf
Six associations worked together to organize this great gathering of the Québec golf industry. They are the Québec Professional Golf Association (PGA), Association des terrains de golf du Québec (ATGQ), Canadian Society of Golf Managers, Association des directeurs généraux de clubs de golf du Québec, Québec Golf Superintendents Association, and, of course, Golf Québec.

For a brief summary of the numerous conferences presented from December 8 to 10, please listen to the Mario Langlois' discussion, in the Les amateurs de sports show aired on 98,5 FM, with golf professional and Golf Canada Regional Director, Rémi Bouchard, Director of Golf Auberge-Château Bromont, Martin Ducharme, and Superintendent, Christian Pilon.

Record year for CN Future Links Learn to Play
Canada’s flagship junior program, CN Future Links, is set to enter its twentieth year of golf on the heels of a season which saw Learn to Play numbers climb to reach record highs. With the wind at its back, CN Future Links marched forward to hit 7,130 participants in the summer of 2015—up from 2,860 since 2010. Golf Canada’s Chief Sport Officer, Jeff Thompson, credits the national success of the program to strengthened collaboration with program partners. Read more...

Golf in Schools Expands Program Through Life Skills Curriculum
Since its inception in 2009, the Golf in Schools program has grown to be in over 2,700 schools across Canada. In the six years since, Golf in Schools has continued to evolve its programming to appeal to the dynamic interests of both teachers and students. In its most significant change to-date, Golf in Schools has introduced revamped learning resources to include life skills curriculum for the existing Elementary and High School levels. Read more...

Rules of Golf | 2016 Level 4 Rules of Golf Seminars Are Now Open
Golf Canada’s Level 4 Rules of Golf seminars are intended for experienced officials. Registration for a 2016 Rules of Golf Seminars is restricted to persons who: are Level 3 certified officials; have achieved 70% or better on the Level 4 Rules Exam or 80% or better on the USGA Rules Exam within the last four years; or have achieved 92% or better on the USGA Rules Exam after January 1, 2006; or are currently or have been previously certified at Level 4 or equivalent by Golf Canada. Abitibi-Témiscamingue | Club Sports Belvédère Is Hiring
Club Sports Belvédère Inc. is a sport complexe operating on a 12-month basis and dedicated to golf and curling. The golf course was designed by internationally renowned architect, Graham Cooke. We are currently looking for a qualified and dynamic candidate to fill the Sports Direction position. Under the supervision of the Board, this candidate will efficiently manage and develop all golf and curling activities conducted at the Club Sports Belvédère in order to maintain sustainability and client satisfaction. Charles-Éric Bélanger Recognized as Junior Golfer of the Year by Golf Canada
Golf Canada just unvailed the names of its 2015 Golfers of the Year. The National Men’s and Women’s Orders of Merit recognize and celebrate the season-long achievements of Canada’s amateur golfing talents. The CN Future Links Junior Boys and Junior Girls Orders of Merit were established to acknowledge and identify Canada’s top junior golfers.
 
Congratulations to Charles-Éric Bélanger who claimed top honours in his category as well as to our Québec players who also made their respective Top 10: Hugo Bernard, Josée Doyon, Étienne Papineau, Céleste Dao, and Sarah-Ève Rhéaume. Read more...

Maude-Aimée LeBlanc Is Back on the LPGA Tour For 2016
After struggling for the past two years, Maude-Aimée LeBlanc registered the best score of the 2nd qualifying round in Daytona Beach to eventually tie for 4th overall. Mission accomplished!
