With the help of our numerous participants, donors and partners, the amount of $58,410 that was originally announced after completion of the event was brought up to $62,410 as an additional contribution came up. These moneys will be used to support the integration of the Golf in Schools program in elementary and high schools as well as of the CN Future Links program in golf clubs. Altogether, over $551,000 was collected through the nine editions of this key fundraiser to promote the sport development of new young golfers. Read more...

OVGA | Golf Québec Salutes Pete Sabourin
It was with great sadness that we learned that Pete Sabourin passed away last week. He had been in the Neuroscience Unit of the Civic hospital since September 5 due to head trauma sustained in a few bad falls, this summer.

From 1996 to 2009, Pete dedicated himself to junior golf development both in his region and at the provincial level. Until recently, he could still be seen, helping around, at the Alexander of Tunis. Through his volunteering with Golf Québec, he had the opportunity to see a whole generation of children discover the great game of golf and grow up on our courses. As a matter of fact, one of his great pride was to see Brooke Henderson carve out a place for herself on the professional scene. In memory of this great man who has touched the lives of many, the members of the Kingsway Park Golf Club are organizing a get-together this Sunday, October 4, begging at 2 pm.
