Our Activities, Programs and Services

“From School to the Golf Club” Fundraiser

This year, Golf Québec is promoting a fundraiser called “From School to the Golf Club”. Our objective is to raise the required moneys to pursue our golf development initiatives specifically designed for children and families. Support Golf Québec. Make an online donation!

Out of Bounds Podcast | Which Super Power Would You Like to Have?
Golfers are not immune against a bad day or the unpredictability of nature. If only they could have more control on trivial little details... In this new  Out of Bounds podcast, GolfQuebecMedias lifts the veil on super powers that our golfers would like to have on the course.

The Rules of Golf According to Édouard | Playing Your Ball From the Wrong Place
Playing from the wrong place is a frequent mistake and, most of the time, it is simply due to ignorance of the rules. Unfortunately, it results in penalties of 2 strokes in stroke play or the lost of the hole in match play. Read more in Édouard's blog on the Rules of Golf on Golf Martial Lapointe (in French)...

To contact our Rules of Golf Chairman, please send an e-mail to erivard@golfquebec.org.

Your Club Is a Member? So Are You!
Your club is a member of Golf Québec and Golf Canada? Did you know that you are automatically a member too and should have received your membership card? If your club did not distribute them this spring, it is still possible to order your personalized membership card. You simply have to answer a few questions when you will input your first rounds in the Golf Canada Score Centre or GGGolf. If you already inputed scores and skipped these questions, this is not a big deal. Simply click on the button specifically designed for this purpose in your Handicap System.

Sport Development

Choose the Right Path Towards University
At first glance, the selection process to choose a teaching establishment (prep school, cégep, college, Canadian or American university) seems to be fairly simple. After all, isn’t it sufficient to let them recruit you and sign their contract? Unfortunately, this is not how things really happen for most students-athletes. For more information, you could attend the conference presented by Entourage Sports Management, on July 20, at Le Blainvillier. To reserve your place, contact Michèle Raymond by e-mail mraymond@golfquebec.org.

Team Québec Gets Prepared for the Canadian Junior Championship
Golf Québec is organizing, on Thursday, July 30, at the Summerlea Golf and Country Club a preparation meeting for junior boys who will be forming the Québec delegation for the 2015 Canadian Junior Championship. Their personal coaches are also invited and we strongly suggest that they attend this event to ensure a better support to all in preparation for the Canadian Championship.

Golf Canada Supports the Provincial Coach, Fred Colgan

Birdies for Charity Coming Up at the 2015 RBC Canadian Open
Birdies for Charity is a fundraiser based on the number of birdies made by the golf professionals at the 2015 RBC Canadian Open. Donors will commit to making a donation for each birdie made by the golf professionals at the tournament during the four rounds (Thursday through Sunday) of the tournament. As a result, they will contribute to supporting youth programs and initiatives through the Golf Québec Sport Development Program. Read more...
