My Story | Debbie Savoy Morel
Trailblazer in the Québec golf industry, Debbie Savoy Morel was the first woman to ever become Head Professional of a 36-hole facility in Canada. "Playing golf with my children and my husband; these days are as important to me as winning championships." Discover Debbie Savoy Morel's story in this French video clip on GolfQuebecMedias‪#‎golfcanadagolf‬ ‪#‎MonHistoire

Community Coach Training
On July 4 and 5, a Community Golf Coach seminar was conducted at Le Boisé. Louis Bourgeois had the opportunity to train nine participants as part of the community flight of the PGA of Canada NCCP. None of them were golf professionals. These Phys. Ed. teachers, club members, junior reps, and young staff of a golf facility are now qualified to support PGA Professionals in the delivery of their junior programs. Our Regional Associations and Volunteers

Meet our Course Raters | Louise Dubé
As part of our interviews with some of our volunteers who are very active in the delivery of our services, this week we are introducing to you Louise Dubé who is in charge of the course rating team in the Eastern Townships. Enjoy reading!

ERRATUM | Last week, we introduced to you Pierre-André Neault. A mistake was made in the e-mailed version of our newsletter. You should have read that Mr. Neault is a volunteer in the Mauricie area.

Eastern Townships | 37 Juniors at the Sani Marc Canada Cup
Only 37 places were reserved for junior players. At 14 years old, Thomas Vallières of Victoriaville (see picture) surely earned his spot as he played 72, the lowest score of the amateur qualifyier. Also from Victoriaville, Bryan Gardner, 15, will compete in the event as well.

Québec City | Win a Week at the Girls' Golf Camp
Presented at Club de golf de Stoneham from July 20 to 24, this golf camp is designed for girls of 9 to 16 years old who want to play golf, perfect their skills, and improve their knowledge of golf etiquette and rules. During five days, these girls will play 18 holes a day and benefit from three hours of specialised teaching on each practice area. GO Les Filles is proud to give away 3 registration packages to girls who would like to attend this camp.  The draw will be made on July 15.
