Birdies for Charity Is Back
Birdies for Charity is a fundraiser based on the number of birdies made by the golf professionals at the 2015 RBC Canadian Open. Donors will commit to making a donation for each birdie made by the golf professionals at the tournament during the four rounds (Thursday through Sunday) of the tournament. As a result, they will contribute to supporting youth programs and initiatives through the Golf Québec Sport Development Program. Read more...

Michèle Raymond Inducted by St. Francis University
Before becoming Golf Québec's Sport Development Coordinator, Michèle Raymond has had a distinguished career with the prestigious Saint Francis University Red Flash, winning several individual and team championships on the NCAA Tour. Last month, she became the first-ever Saint Francis Hall of Fame women's golf inductee.

Golfmobile Visits the Otterburn Park Family Day
Golfmobile is more than just a school visitation program. In the summer, we also go out in parks and municipal events. On May 30, our Sport Development team participated in the Otterburn Park Family Day with our new "boom room". Over 75 children were thrilled to discover golf within our mobile lessons and, already, we are asked to go back next year! If you would like the Golfmobile to visit you, do not hesitate to contact us : developpement@golfquebec.org.

Eastern Townships | 200th Anniversary of Drummondville
CN, the CN Future Links program, and Golf Canada are currently recruiting Golf Professionals who are members of the PGA of Canada to work in the Community Tour, interract with children and give them advices as they learn to putt, chip, and drive. Eastern Townships | North Hatley Supports First Drive
The North Hatley Golf Club has reorganized its course to adapt to the Juniors, with its Black tee-offs, Par 45. Juniors are welcome to play for free on Sunday afternoon (when playing with an adult). Read more...

Eastern Townships | Josée Pérusse to Host a Women's Golf Clinic
Josée Pérusse, of Royal Estrie, will present a clinic on Thursday, July 9, from 9 am to 4 pm, featuring Québec golf legend, Jocelyne Bourassa. The theme of the day will be "The last 100 yards". Hurry up, there are only 20 places available. To register, please call 819 879-5266.

Eastern Township | North Hatley Receives Golf in Schools
Whether it’s indoors or outdoors, North Hatley Elementary School via the National Golf in Schools Program, is bringing the game of golf to their grade 5 and 6 students. Divided in three groups, they benefited from three 20-minutes workshops presented in rotation and learned about putting, chipping, and driving. Saguenay/Lac St-Jean/Chibougamau | Run the Course
At the end of May, the Saguenay/Lac St-Jean/ Chibougamau Regional Association proposed a brand new way to play in its "Run the Course" initiative. Altogether, participants had to run on the course of Club de golf Chicoutimi and complete some golf challenges as fast as possible. The Carabins Are Crowned at the Canadian University/College Championship
The Université de Montréal (UdeM) Carabins women's team claimed a second national title in three years on Friday at the 2015 Canadian University/College Championship at Cutten Fields in Guelph, Ontario. Caroline Ciot and Sarah-Andréa Landry contributed significantly to the team's victory by finishing respectively second and fourth in the individual competition. RBC Canadian Open Qualifier
Congratulations to our past provincial champions who have become golf professionals and qualified to play in the final Monday qualifyier of the RBC Canadian Open to be held on July 20, at Heron Point Golf Links in Alberton, Ont. They are: Sonny Michaud, Mathieu Perron, Louis-Pierre Godin, Keven Fortin-Simard, Matthew McMahon et Nicolas Fortin.

Manulife LPGA Classic
Québec Golf Professional, Sara-Maude Juneau, earned an exemption for the Manulife LPGA Classic which is beginning today, in Cambridge, Ontario.
