Discipline:
Article V of Golf Québec's By-law
III stipulates, among other, that the "Board
of Directors and the Executive Committee each
have the power to permanently bar, for a definite
or indefinite period of time, any member of
a Club-Member from any tournament sponsored
or controlled by the Association, and may censor
or reprimand any such member who, in the opinion
of the Board, is guilty of unbecoming conduct
or conduct prejudicial to the good name of
golf or to the best interests of the Association." Any
competitor, whose conduct on the course or
at a tournament site is judged as being unacceptable
by the Tournament Committee, may be disqualified
or excluded from any team. Throwing a club,
a ball, damaging club property, and swearing
are all unacceptable conduct. Consumption of
any alcoholic beverages by a competitor or
his caddie during the course of a stipulated
round is prohibited.
