Regional Representatives

Regional Junior Representatives are volunteers. Their mission is to support initiatives identified by the Sport Development Committee and supervise the implementation of golf development programs in the nine regions composing the Golf Québec junior territory. Their work is based on the guidelines and actions to be undertaken within the four pillars of sport development: introduction, recreation, competition, and excellence. Their references are the Long Term Athlete Development Guide published by Golf Canada as well as the Golf Québec 2013-2017 Athlete Development Model for golf. These publications were designed to provide organizations, parents, players, coaches, and golf clubs with standard guidelines aiming to monitor the development of golfers from their introduction to the sport until they reach the highest levels of competitions.

Their strategic goals are:

Implement the best programs and regional services to increase the number of children who discover and play the game of golf.

Develop recreational golfers of all ages and identify those who could be interested to compete.

Promote a gradual increase of the junior golfers’ skills level and their playing frequency.

Facilitate the development of junior golfers to lead them towards Golf Québec’s provincial structures. Then, Golf Québec will supervise their development to lead them on the path towards national structures managed by Golf Canada and, eventually, international environment of professional golfers.

For this purpose, their tools and partners are:
