Adopt a School

The Golf in Schools program has been developed to deliver Physical Education learning outcomes through the sport of golf. The initial element of the program is focused on assisting elementary school teachers (specialists and non-specialists) with and without a background in golf, to plan and deliver quality learning experiences using golf as the vehicle. Developed by the Physical and Health Education Canada (PHE Canada) in partnership with Golf Canada and the PGA of Canada, the learning resource was designed to meet the learning outcomes of elementary schools curriculum across Canada.

Since it was launched in May of 2009, over 524 elementary schools were adopted and have received the teaching material and equipment required to conduct this great program. Over 72 high school establishments have already signed up for their segment of the program which was launched in September of 2012. Golf Québec is focusing on developing this initiative furthermore in order to supply as many schools as possible with equipment that will facilitate introducing more children to the game of golf and let them discover how fun it can be.

With a $500 donation to Golf Québec, you could provide your former school or the one attended by your children with the complete Golf in Schools teaching resource and equipment.
