(RCGA) – The Royal Canadian Golf Association (RCGA) announced today that Kira Meixner of Richmond, B.C., Stephanie Sherlock of Barrie, Ont. and Maude-Aimée LeBlanc of Windsor, Que. have been selected to represent Team Canada at the 2008 World Amateur Golf Team Championship (WATC) in Adelaide, Australia.

Golf Québec crowned its last champions of the 2008 season at the Junior Provincial Match Play Championships that ended yesterday in St-Hyacinthe at the Providence Golf Club.

Golf Québec is proud to announce that Graham Cooke, world renowned golf course architect, will be the next inductee into its Hall of Fame. “Graham’s accomplishments are truly remarkable!This is a man that is respected by all and has literally devoted his life to the world of golf”, commented Roger H. Legault, the president Golf Québec’s Hall of Fame selection committee.

The renowned golf architect, Graham Cooke, captured the honours at the Men’s Provincial Senior Championship which was held this week on the Rouville Course of the Vallée du Richelieu Golf Club. He played 72-66-68—206 (-10), which gave him a 5 stroke advance on the defending champion, André Gagné of Royal Québec, who finished 2^nd (70-71-70—211).
